Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Our commitment

Jukuna is used by students of every ability, and we want everyone to be able to learn with it. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and to align with JIS X 8341-3 (the Japanese accessibility standard for ICT). Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checkbox.

What we offer today

  • High-contrast mode. A high-contrast theme for low-vision readers, available from the accessibility menu.
  • Dyslexia-friendly font. An optional OpenDyslexic typeface to ease reading for dyslexic students.
  • Light & dark themes. Choose the contrast that's comfortable for you.
  • Keyboard support. Core practice actions can be driven from the keyboard (e.g. submit and continue).
  • Accessible maths. Mathematical notation is rendered with KaTeX, which emits MathML for assistive technologies.
  • Multiple languages. The interface is available in English, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.

Your accessibility preferences are saved on your device and applied automatically.

Known limitations

Some areas are still being improved — including full screen-reader labelling of every interactive chart, and a complete keyboard path through a few advanced tools. We are working through a formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit and will update this statement as we close gaps.

Tell us about a barrier

If you hit an accessibility barrier, please tell us what happened and the device or assistive technology you were using. Email hello@jukuna.com and we'll work to fix it.
