Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Jukuna (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Jukuna Education K.K. ("Jukuna", "we"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. The Service

Jukuna provides an adaptive AI-powered exam preparation platform including question generation, ELO-based difficulty calibration, score prediction, study plans, and teacher tools for class management. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to College Board, ETS, or any official exam body. AP® and SAT® are registered trademarks of College Board.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to cheat on actual exams or assessments.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the question database.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service without prior written consent.

5. Intellectual property

All question content, feedback, study plans, and AI-generated material produced by the Service is owned by Jukuna or licensed to Jukuna. You may use this content solely for personal study within the Service. Content you upload (e.g. PDFs, curriculum materials) remains yours; you grant Jukuna a limited licence to process it to deliver the Service.

6. Payment and refunds

Certain features require a paid subscription or school licence. All fees are stated at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact hello@jukuna.com within 7 days of charge.

7. Students and children

Jukuna is intended for use by students through their school or with a parent or guardian’s involvement. We ask students for their year of birth and apply a guardian-consent gate: a student under 16 who signs up independently must have a parent or guardian approve their account before they can practise, while a school that enrolls students may attest that it has obtained any required guardian consent on their behalf. Our handling of student and children’s data — including the APPI under-16 rule, the COPPA school-consent exception, and FERPA — is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Score predictions are estimates based on practice data and are not guarantees of actual exam results. Jukuna is not responsible for exam outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jukuna's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Jukuna in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ¥10,000. Jukuna is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
